Brick is the latest object d’art to embody Ashley’s ongoing fascination with reinventing everyday objects through new materials and expert craftsmanship. Available in four warm hues, the unglazed bricks are effortlessly versatile in creating a moment.  Individually, each quietly adds a new elevation or spatial pause to a bookshelf, mantlepiece, or credenza, they are also impactful when displayed in groupings, to be collected, stacked, and rearranged like building blocks, echoing their traditional architectural function.  

Ashley sought out Canadian-born ceramic artist and sculptor Alissa Coe to craft the bricks as hollow forms using plaster moulds and a slip-casting technique.

Each brick is handcrafted at Coe’s studio located in a stone farmhouse in rural northern Italy.
